If you haven't received your new wakeboarder magazine, then go get it. The article from Shaun on getting more with less is just sick. Tried it this weekend and it works like a champ. I see guys killing themselves trying to get more pop by jumping harder and edging faster. There really is a science to it. He tells it in a way that makes total sense. Mad prop's to Shaun. Keep it coming bro.

Couldn't agree more. Bigger air and I can ride for longer because I don't tire myself out trying to pop hard.

Any chance AT ALL that someone could post a copy of it? Is that illegal? Gotta be, damn. Well, if it's not...

Please don't. Copyright infringement is not cool. Spring for the few bucks it costs to get the mag. It's worth it.

Instead of crouching too much and jumping with your legs when you hit the wake, crouch just a little then stay stiff and stand tall at the wake. Don't jump. Pull the handle into your hips while you keep your back straight and your chest out.

He likened it to when you jump on a trampoline. When you want to jump high on it you don't crouch down and then jump you just tighten your legs and let the tramp do all the work. If you crouch and jump then your knees will absorb all the bounce. You have to read it. He explains it so much better then i do.

Not only does it help with your energy, but alot of people are inconsistent with their wake jumps because they incorrectly time their spring off the legs causing some wake jumps to be good and others to be not. With the way Shaun is teaching, it's the same pop every time.

So funny, I've been using the trampoline thing for years to explain the pop/stand tall thing.

Yeah I have heard people give the tramp analogy in the past. I always tell people.... little changes make a big difference in your overall trick outcome. Kinda like golf. Small adjustments make a big difference.

And thinking what am I doing wrong. you always think Its your boat and lack of weight. I have been doing it all wrong for so long..It's all I know and now I have to start all over. Thanks okcrashhighlight! LOL!

Tried this out last night. It did make a big difference. I have yet to clear the wake consistently. I had one very good jump, then the next I sucked up with my knees. Big difference.

Shaun's one of the best coaches on the planet. That's why his clinics in Denver sell out so fast. He's the bomb!

Okay, read the article... makes perfect sense. Even went outside and sessioned the trampoline to make sure I have that muscle memory thing working. I'll be on the water tomorrow afternoon. I'll let you know if it worked for me. By the way, did a bunch of backflips on the tramp tonight too. If I'm getting any kind of pop at all I might try a backroll too.

Reminds me of watching the old Scott Byerly video on The Wakeboard Report ( http://www.wakeboardreport.com/archives/2008/02/exclusive_footage_of_a_young_s.html). Its not wake size. it is technique.

Got my set in today. Definitely helped to take Shaun's advice. Made it wake to wake pretty consistently. Wasn't behind the usual boat, and this one had a slightly smaller wake than I'm used to... so I'm not sure if I was going that much farther than usual, but I definitely had more control. Still looking for more pop. One other thing. I noticed that when I cut in toeside, I actually pop much better. Now I just need to sac up and hit the toeside wake with a little more speed. Not sure if I'll still pop as well when I hit it a little faster... I definitely don't heelside. Oh... and the added control and confidence did get me one thing today... popped off the toeside and 180'ed into the center of the wakes. Not anything special, I know... but it was progression for me! Haven't done enough switch work, but was able to land that one!
