Wanting to get a new pair of bindings. I am riding some old highbacks. No brand preference really. I just want good ankle support and a snug fit (size 9.5, pretty slim foot). Also, should I look into the close toe bindings? Thanks
Just got the LF Shane bindings. Super snug around the ankle with no lift what so ever. Good support around the bridge of my foot. I also have narrow feet.
Seconding the shanes. I have the '07s and love them. It doesn't look like there is a huge amount of difference in 07 and 08 though, but i haven't looked into the specifics, just saw a pair at a shop.
I don't understand how anyone is recommending the Shane binding after you mentioned you wanted 'good ankle support' and that you are coming from Hyperlite Highback bindings. The comments on this site boggle me sometimes. That said- there are a ton of supportive bindings on the market that I have never tried but I will recommend four that I have tried and are some of the most popular. Liquid Force Transits- Great support and has been the standard of a lot of bindings since it's inception. Liquid Force Watons- Great support, Watson likes a supportive binding and rode the Transits before designing this boot. Ronix One- Harfs boot. Isn't the stiffest binding but has great feel and middle of the rode support. Ronix Cells- Chad Sharpe's pro-model binding at Hyperlite was the 3DS/Highbacks. The Cells are his creation through Ronix and the natural progression from those original bindings.
