I'm looking to upgrade my bindings to CWB hinge. Anyone with experience with them or know if there is much of a difference between the Torq, Vapor and Faction? Thanks.

Torq = Fits a wide range of shoe sizes Vapor = Priced between the Faction and Torq Faction = smaller sizes per boot. Out of all of these, I would go Faction but I almost bought the Vapor. You might want to try them on.

We added them to our store this year, I realy like them. the faction made my toes numb though, where the torq did not.

What David said! I've ridden both the Torqs and Factions. I like them both. But if they are just for you and not shared much at all, get the Factions. The first few times they'll feel tight, but soon loosen a little and even more comfy!

depending on your riding style would effect your choice... Factions = high end soft boot... they are a very soft boot whichh is good for presses and tweaking stuff out... Vapors = intermediate to advanced binding... better for a shared board, a little stiffer than the factions, but not as high end of a binding... both are very good bindings though

I have the Torq's and love them. I am a beginner to intermediate rider. They are very comfortable and easy to get in/out of.

I would look at the faction. I have the Torq's and they have broken on me twice. The overlay has a relief cut in them on one side which only leaves about and inch of connection to the footbed. I guess this is so it will fit different people. Sometimes the hinge pops open on hard falls and the overlay takes the strain. Both of my bindings ripped on the cut side. I have just switched because of this. I almost bought the faction but didnt have a shop close by that had them in stock. The vapor seems to be nothing more than a restylized torq. My dealer swaped out the first binding and just replaced the overlay in the second.

I am new to the sport and picked up a Sol/Torq combo at Westmarine for $269. The Torqs are XL and would fit 11-12. I wear 12-13 and they are snug but I haven't ridden them yet so I am hoping they break in a little.

No one ever talks about the Sevens, are they the low end of the CWB line? I bought them with the Faze package and they feel real good, maybe a bit tight in the heal of my left foot, but they are new and have not been rode yet. Weskel

Kelly, you should be fine with the Sevens. It's pretty funny that the econo versions of all bindings(CWB, LF, HL, ect) are much better than the high end bindings we used 5 years ago...IMO, you are paying for comfort mostly because 99% of us out there really dont ride well enough to need the best Pro-Level binding. If they feel good on your feet, then you can ride longer and water time is one of the most important things at any level.
