I may be a jackass, but whoever owns that boat is an idiot. There are so many things wrong with that boat, it's just plain stupid. It looks like some high school kid got carried away with dady's credit card. It's like someone putting a spoiler on a Toyota Tercel and thinking it's fast. Or the dude driving the H1 while renting a studio apartment for his wife and three kids. To bad it's a boat, otherwise you could take it to the "Scottsdale bars"!!!

Sam Sam Sam this guy is far from an idiot and no it wasn't daddy's credit card. Some people like Tercel's with spoilers, not my thing, but I'm not going to slam them for doing it and its not even close to the H1 scenario as I believe he has the income to spend his money how he wishes. I'm sure this post was put up to showcase Ryan's talents not blow everyone away with the 12 tower speakers, how do you know this guy even runs the volume turned all the way up, he seemed like a decent guy that would definitely have some etiquette. Why do small minded people insist on posting ignorant statements? Let the man spend his money any way he would like and just check out the install, there is not many cleaner in a still usable boat

I agree Gunnar the install is awesome and the system sound great. The system is way over the top but that is what the owner wanted. He is a cool guy and owns 2 businesses, how many of you haters can say that. Also if you are familiar with were we party on the water you have to go big or you wont hear your music. People who hate need to take a look at themselves and ask why. Maybe it is jealous or maybe you are boring. Maybe you are mad at him because he can do what you want but cant. Remember the day when you were a baller and had all hot chicks on your boat, he is living it! don't hate. Everyone has the right in america to be themselves. This owner doesn't know about Wakeworld and I hope he doesn't find out. Imagine how you would feel if you looked for the first time and people were calling you an idoit for doing what gave you happiness!

I'm just glad to see people having the dough for something like that. Donald Trump has a freakn' golden toilet with encrusted diamonds in his bathroom, does that make him an idiot for spending what some people make in one year on a toilet? Nope, makes hime the king of his castle when he goes and takes a dump.

my friend and I just purchased Malibus neither with stereos. If we took all of this equipment and halved it there would still be more than enough for each of us. I agree with those that think this is stupid, but as others have said....to each his own.

I saw this boat last weekend on the delta at "the party spot" we hooked a right off the main channel on the way to garlic brothers and that was the first thing I saw.. I was like Holy SHIP....Boat is totally over the top.. everything from the stereo on the tower to the wrap.. I dont think I could spend that kind of money... The only thing I could say was that it was the only wakeboat in that area with boards in the rack... and on our way BACK from Garlic Brothers he was getting a rider in the water...soooo.... I give him 2 thumbs up

Ryan, are those batteries in each of the rear lockers? If so this guy doesn't even need the pro tour ballast, at least not the rear part of it. Golf cart batteries run something like 75 or 80 lbs I think. That gives him 450-500 lbs in each rear locker on top of stock. Ryan, is the stereo bank a completely stand alone bank. It wouldn't even be worth hooking up to an alternator unless he has a 200+ amp alternator.

Brett- Yes, both lockers have (6) 6 volt batteries in them ,and they are just under 70 pounds each. Roughly 450 per side with enclosures The bank is still accessible through the perko ,but will rarely be used due to exactly what your saying. The total ah is quite sufficient for any days use and the only time the alternator will be used is on trips of 3-4 days in nature. Useful alternator time must be taken into consideration when preserving batteries for long trips with no shore power

No boat envy here. I have never been a "baller" either. I would much rather spend my extra money helping others instead of being the local cool guy. The owner IMO is just plain oblivious to what it's all about, life that is.

Sam, IMO it is extremely poor taste to tell someone else how they should spend there "extra" money. Two points: You have zero clue what charities he supports (Apart from Tim White School trust) and Wealth is a matter of perspective, 100 families in Africa could do quite nicely on an average US income, does that mean the average US family should send 99% of there income to Africa?

not knocking either, but my guess is once you go over 6 or so Wetsounds speakers I think it won't get any louder.... You only have to shoot a deer so many times to kill it, any more is just wasting ammo.

I say keep selling systems like this and all of us sane people start investing in hearing aid companies! In the old days, I used to put ridiculous systems like this in cars all of the time. I even did a 6,000 watt system for a deaf guy! Funny stuff.

Ryan, first, very nice on the install. I asked earlier about how many watts per Pro 80? I understand how much the amps can put out, but it looks like you have them wired in series somehow and from the pics I've seen I can't really tell how, I'm just curious how many watts RMS each Pro 80 is receiving/what ohm level?

So what upgrades are they making to the trailer with all that extra weight? Looks like the trailer wheels are pretty close to the fenders. If they're going to spend that much on a stereo, why not splurge on a triple axle.

Seems ridiculous to me. Like someone else stated, you're well past the point diminishing returns, and odds are you're going to end up getting forced to turn it down at least 50% of the time. I've always found those who use the word "hater" to be people who don't deal well with criticism, and tend to be a little out of touch with reality. You post something like this on a forum and you're going to get peoples opinions, good and bad.

Man why do people gotta bring politics into every little thing, the man wants 12 speakers on his tower so he put 12 on their big freaking deal. Its no different then having a sports car, I mean do you really need a Corvette ZR1 when a regular Corvette is plenty fast but its always nice to have power to spare . Ryan do you have any full pics with the tow rig. From the looks of that one picture I would guess a lifted duramax which towing that boat would look just nasty... My dream settup

Is it rediculuous? Yes. Is it redicuolously awesome? Heck yes! Would I want it on my boat? Heck no! I'm a subtle boat SAN kind of guy but I'd tell this guy "sweet boat" if I ever saw him. I guarantee you almost every one of you have spent money on something frivolous. I also guarantee you that almost everyone of you would spend a "crazy" amount of money on something frivilous if you had more money to spare. But whether something costs a "crazy" amount of money is all relative.

Ryan that is crazy stuff. I tell you what would make it look 100% better....If it was all on a MALIBU boat. I guess you need the extra ballast on the X-star. Just messing around that boat is sick my friend. If I had the money and a wife that wouldn't kick my ass for spending all that money, I would have a ton of speakers on my tower as well.

John- That is a very good point .There are only a few processors that truly handle that issue. The dsp-6-sl by zapco is one of them. The fact that the dsp-6-sl lets you adjust phase and time alignment independently is truly the only way to correct the" comb filter" effect. Another great tool is that you can set a high or low shelf on any given frequency of the EQ section(used quite detailed in the 1-3k range I will post pics of the custom tower brackets and mounts next week when they are to be installed.

2 points... 1. How did this Craig Cox character drop and "N" bomb at the beginning of the thread and 100 posts later nobody has commented on it. 2. The point of having a wakeboard boat is to wakeboard... right? I'm all for a little bit of audio to help keep the stoke during a sesh, but when it begins to take away from the riding it's gotta go. Luker, In response to your second point. I feel like the point of having a boat, in general, is to have fun and enjoy being out on the water with friends. Whether that is in a 100K wakeboard boat with a 30k stereo, or a 14' jon boat, the point is to be out on the water having fun. What people do with thier boats is thier business and should be treated that way. I think that most people on the board would agree that a wake boat should be for wakeboarding only, the vast majority of people are going to see an X-Star and think, "man that is a mean lookin boat," and could care less how the wake is behind it. Just my $.02 and don't take it as an attack, as I tend to agree with you.

Patrick, by that same point it means you should respect that others are trying to enjoy themselves on the lake also, and blaring your music through such a system may hamper that. No real point to that system other than trying to show off, which brings us back to law of diminishing returns.

Chris, Where that boat is going "Ski Beach" all there is, is LOUD stereos. Yes it is to show off... who cares. When he was on the lake at Spring Ride he was very respectful of the lake and his stereo was turned down. More power to him if he has the coin to spend on a system like that I say have at it. If I had it I'd do it. And I don't know if this has been said IT'S AND X_STAR!!!!! can't go wrong with that. to boat owner: KEEP IT PIMPIN, PIMPIN!!!
