What are some of the different mounts y'all use on your wakeboard, helmet, wave runner, or boat to get the ultimate shot of you Wakeboarding!?!? And what setting do you have your gopro set to??
Hey guys, this is bound to be of interest! I have just launched a new Kickstarter project which allows you to mount a GoPro to a wakeboard. Please take a look and if you like it back/share it and spread the word. Its only been up and running a couple of days and I have already been approached by Chad Sharp to test it. SSSwweeeettttt
I attach mine to helmets, the side of the boat, I cut a hockey stick in half and half a sticky mount there as well. I have been thinking about attaching it to my board somehow, the idea up there ^^^ seems pretty neat. depends on which go pro you have and what you want but i have the hero 2 set at 720p and 60 fps. this allows me to slow it down really nice to about 20% in FCP. If you have a H3 black or + you can do 1080p at 60fps or more. anything 60fps or higher will allow nice looking slo mo shots! hope this helps! and kill it with this awesome camera!
I have built two different poles. They work good and I have built them each for about $5 a piece. I have one that is made out of conduit and I use the handle bar mount on the end and it is about 30 inches long. The other one I have is made out of some outdoor 1/2 inch pvc and it is about 35inches long and there is a handle bar mount on the end of that one. I made that one in two pieces and it screws together so that I can fit it in my backpack when I'm snowboarding. I used bike grips for the handles on each.
Has anybody tried using the chesty mount when wakeboarding?
I've used the chesty, I almost like it better than a helmet cam its lower and more in the action. You can get a good view of the handle all the way to the boat and looks pretty cool especially with a nice sunset. heres a pick of us using the chesty
Floaty back works pretty sick used it snorkeling we were tossing it back and forth to record different things and it's a bright orange so it's easy to see in the water
