Very Nice. Congrats on the new boat. What type of speakers / amp are you running for the tower?

Well, I can tell you the speakers are Kicker Resolution midbass and midrange drivers, but I can't help with the amp, obviously. If that's a factory install, the amp is likely a Kicker also. (Message edited by swass on September 23, 2003)

NICE BOAT!! it looks like the fron bow filler cushion is sitting on fiberglass. is it? does it not have the normal walk through area?

I'll second that PIMP ASS. I hope they make the 05 VLX similar.

I think that fiberglass under the bow cusion is built in ballast tank.

Flip down door thingy is an armrest and cup holder. The front ballast is in where the storage was, so you have no space below the cushions, it's all ballast!!

Thanks guys, The speakers are infinity kappa's and the amps are sony 600s...the boat comes with sony speakers but my boyz at the music shop take care of me and we did the switch out...totally better sound..also the backing of the speakers are not metal so the chance of corrosion is less...atleast that is what they tell me!...ballast tanks are in the lockers and in the midship and all up front under bow...

J.mac, I really like yours too, we thought about a little more white before choosing the Red & Black. I thought about going to the Titan this time but I just don't like the options for Sky Ski racks for the Titan. I was very surprised to see this new restyled Swoop, I haven't seen anything saying it was going to be changed.

Ummmm....yeah - Infinity Kappas- just what I said. Are they Titan's bullet enclosures, at least? (Message edited by swass on September 23, 2003)

i am kinda wondering about the whole arm rest / cup holder idea. lose seat space for 2 cup holders? nothing against your boats, they look awesome. just trying to figure out the logic behind that one. also, how much stock ballast does that thing have?

I saw the 04 LSV at the Malibu OPen here in Sac that was pulling all the riders. Not sure how much they had it weighted down but it was throwing on hell of a wake.

Nothing to figure out...if you need the seat space, fold the cup holder back up into the seat back.

Oh yeah and sweet boats. Matt, why would you loose seat space when all you have to do is fold it up as its shown in the pic??? Its a great idea in my opinion. I don't understand your dilema here.

J.mac, How do you like getting into the boat when it's on the trailer. It's tough for me!! I can't even look into the boat standing beside it and I'm 5'7". Check out the height of those trailer guides to the top of the boat. (Message edited by ronnie on September 23, 2003)

bryce & ronnie - what i meant by losing seat space was that if you want to have a cup holder, you would lose seat space. i dont always have a boat full of people, but when i do, every drink holder is usually being used. that was what i was thinking. the few times that you have that many people in your boat and you need that seat, you wont have any cup holders back there. anyone know how much the stock ballast is?

There are 21 cup holders in this boat with the table up, that should be enough for a 14 passenger boat. Four in the bow, two in the passenger dash, one for the driver, four on each side in the seating area, two in the fold down arm rest and four in the removable table....Seems like I read that the Ballast in all four tanks was 1250 lbs plus the wedge for 1000 lbs more.

Nice looking boats guys! Matt, given the fact that the boat has something like 14 other cupholders, I don't think it's worth stressing over the two that flip down in the back seat. The stock ballast is rated at 1250lbs. but I think it's more than that. The Open boat was running 2050lbs. plus the Wedge and 13 people.

WOW.....14 cup holders????? ok, that answers my question. had no idea. not that i would make a choice on a boat over 2 cup holders (i dont like my friends that much) but was just curious. i couldnt see any behind the passenger seat and driver seat which brought up my question.
