so i have a mastercraft and i was planning on backing it into the driveway to wash it down today. Im using my truck verses my dads which we usually pull with. so i hooked it up and put it into reverse but the brakes are locking up on me. the are supposed to disengage but im not sure what the problem is. i checked the fuse and its fin. So since i dont pull this boat around on this truck im not going to worry about it for now. but is there a way to manually disengage the brakes??? Just so i can get it into the driveway!

If you don't have your electrical connection hooked up, the brakes will lock.

There's a sliding pin in your tongue. It actuates the brakes. Pull the trailer forward a bit (on mine you can hear the pin slide) until it's slid to the forward position in the slot. Put nuts (5/8 ths ?) on both sides in the rear of the slot and clamp, with light pressure, with a C-clamp. The nuts prevent the pin from sliding, and hence the brakes from actuating.

Screw driver in holes directly behind sliding tongue. Accomplishes same thing as John mentioned but for a little more current year model boats.

Like Nick said, if you have a 5 flat plug, you can plug the blue wire on the trailer side into one of the other wires on the truck side & it should get you by.

You can also use a 1/2" nut & put it in the slot so the plunger can't move backward. Use a piece of duct tape to hold it there.
