Anyone on here using the smart tow system? A buddy of mine was looking at it over perfect pass just due to price and was looking for some first hand experiences with it

Smart Tow is by far the best system out there. launch mode allows the driver to pull rider out of the water the same every time. The boat goes up to speed at pre determined rate every time and doesn't overshoot speed at all.

I see you can get one for $385 on eBay but it doesn't state if you need anything else. I wonder if it will work on a 330 black scorpion.

The engine has to have fly by wire and shift by wire

This is standard on '09 Epics. It's a great system, and will really astonish you when you first use it. You just floor the throttle when the line is tight, the boat pauses for a second, then accelerates at a consistent comfortable rate for the rider (you choose 1 to 5). It takes pretty much all the skill out of driving a boat because all you have to do is steer, but really helps when you don't have experienced drivers.

Oh and it works great for holding speed on double ups, etc. because it is GPS based.
