I have a 2006 V215 Sanger and I am looking to put some more ballast in her. Ideally I want to plum it into the existing system. I think I will put to more bags in the rear ski lockers and then a bag in the walkway (cant hide that one).

Looking at the different companies I noticed that they have different connector types bag construction etc.

Whats the opinions on different makes of bags / connectors etc and will these connection types cause problems for me when I add it to the existing ballast system?

Also, should I consider upgrading my pumps? I am not sure what I currently have, but they are the stock pumps that came with boat.

Fly High Pro X Series, they make great sacs and they have a large selection of fittings for DIY plumb jobs.

The Straight Line "Launch Pad" stuff is nice also, especially the Sumo Sacs. Their quick connect fittings work great, the bags usually have several in different places that would help you out if you wanted to plumb it.

I had two launch pad bags, and they were junk.

Fat Sacs all the way, great quality.

The fly high X series are the only way to go. The bags are pretty much bullet proof and the fittings will be easily adapted to your system.

The Fly High Pro X series bags are amazing and bullet proof but Launch Pad Sumo Sacs that just came out are a great competitor to the Pro X series bags. Taft was correct in his assessment of the older styles bladder bags in that they were pretty much junk unless you were good at using the repair kit. The new Sumo sacs are made of a similar strong material as the Fly High bags and come standard with the link one way valve system (LPL). If you are going to integrate go with the fly high as they have the fittings to make it easy but if you are going to fill them up manually save the money and check out the Launch Pad Sumo's. My two cents and sales pitch. I personally use them both and will use anything that holds water in our boat. I do not discriminate when it comes to extra weight.
