I got a chance to check this boat out at the Seattle boat show last night and I was very impressed. I personally prefer Malibu's but IMHO this was the next best boat at the show. The best part is it priced significantly less than the other big brands. If you are in the market for a 21' V-drive I would definitely consider this boat.

Agree about the widebody. I was really impressed by it. The boat has everything and from what I hear, does everything well. And it feels like it's 23', yet still fits in a standard garage and under a 7' door.

If I was in the market this year, it would be at the very top of my list. The black one at the Seattle show is beautiful...

1800 lbs of pure vert ballast is awesome!

agreed, the boat looks sweet. Hoping to get one here in Iowa this spring. I keep asking Active for better pics of that black one. Did you happen to snap any?

Sorry I didn't take any pics.

They are selling the black one at the boat show for just under $54k with almost every option they offer. I think the only thing it didn't have was the 2-speed transmission but I could be wrong. A friend of mine is seriously considering the black one at the show.

Heath, you can't sway him to the VTX?

does it have the two speed transmission? Does anyone have any experience with that?

Brett, I have been pushing him pretty hard towards Bu but he doesn't want to go any smaller than 21'. The new VLX is about $74K and the MB is $54K and while there is no doubt the VLX is a nicer boat (he even admits this) it is pretty hard to justify the extra $20K or so. If it was $5K it probably wouldn't matter.

Is the widebody any bigger on the interior then the VTX?

What about the 08 VLX's they have left?

I also saw the B52 Team Widebody at the Portland boat show (probably the same black one you are seeing in Seattle).

I talked to Mike B. about it at great length. It was my favorite boat at the show. PERIOD.

The boat is 21' 0" sitting on the trailer (tongue swept back and platform removed). Yet it's rated for 16 people!! That's MB's largest capacity boat! And it fits in a standard garage with a 7' door! Did I mention 1,800 lbs. of PureVert? Also, fit and finish was EXCELLENT.

How do you fit that many people in a 21' boat? The beam is 100" but they have also enlarged the cockpit area by shrinking the sun pad area.

An interior pic just popped up in the Seattle Boat Show thread... I've copied and pasted it below.
Upload

I sat in it for a long while yesterday looking through it closely... The fit and finish is top notch and the interior is very clean, simple, and well laid out. The boat is just... awesome.

In the 21' wakeboard boat category, I agree with ixfe -- this boat is best in show (and yes, this is the same boat that was at the Portland show). All inboards included, the MC X35 is right there too (but that's another thread).

The MB seems quite a bit bigger than the VTX.

He is also considering some left over 08 VLX's & LSV's from Bake's
