When I bought my boat is had been winterized. Therefore, the heater and shower were disconnected. I would like to at least get the heater working and maybe even both. I was wondering if anyone has pictures or a description of where the hoses hook up to the engine on a GT-40. Thanks for the help.

So I guess people don't use heaters anymore or what?

Mine's not a GT-40 but the connections go in about the same spots on most boats.
Hot water out comes from a high pressure spot. Usually on the intake manifold just before the thermostat.
Water in is on a low pressure spot like the side of the water circulation pump. Often a barb fitting on the left side of that pump when you look at it from the front of the engine.
The cold water for the shower is taken off after the impellor but before it gets to the circulation pump.
I hope that helps. (I love my heaters) The water can flow through the heater in either direction.

Just people with GT-40s......

It really depends on a few things. Are the hoses pulled from the heater core? Is your install done the old way with the water source at the thermostat? Or the new way at the Y adapter?

I've never looked at how a heater is installed on a GT-40 so I'm not sure if it's different than an Indmar or not.
