Can someone tell me where all the drain plugs are on this motor to get the water out? I have it in a garage with a heater but its suppose to get really cold later this week and not wanting to take any chances!

it it's enclosed, especially w/ a heater you have nothing to worry about...

just lay a couple of blankets on the motor, if will make you feel better, but what tickle said is true.

I just have a little wal-mart heater under the boat, will that still be good enough? Suppose to get down in the single digits and not get above freezing for a few days!

You should be fine just put an outdoor Thermometer in your garage and keep an eye on it

You boat should be fine but on the chevy blocks there should be a drain plug on either side of the lower block. You should also pull out the plugs on the end of the Exhaust manifolds. They are usually real easy to get to and use a 3/4" drive. Also there is a small plug on the transmission fluid cooler. If you have the tools it should take you less than a half hour to remove all 5 plugs.

brandon, as brett said you have 2 drain plugs on the exhaust. one should have a knock sensor on it.

in re: to the exhaust manifold you should have two hoses that go together. just unscrew those two. also as brett said, don't forget the transmission cooler and your good to go.

As a test, put a bucket of water in the garage by a colder area and see if that ever freezes, then you'll know if the boat will be ok.

I doubt that a heater under the boat will do a damn thing. Put a shop light with a 75-100 watt bulb in it in the engine compartment..... or a couple of them. Then close the engine cover & block the vents with a towel so the heat can't escape.

If your going to pull hoses & plugs, then you should also pull the heater hoses & maybe blow thru them to get all the water out. The core is probably up under the dash so any heat in the engine compartment isn't going to do it any good.
