Does it matter which storage option? We are in a cold winter environment.

Thanks

You can't beat heated indoor, if you can afford it!

Hands down heated or even cold indoor over wrap.

So does cold indoor vs. heated make a major difference? It costs $175 more for the heated option.

makes me sad to even start thinking about storage!
If you did store heated indoors, I'd still winterize the boat completely. Never know when a nasty storm is going to take out the power for who knows how long.

If it was only an extra $175 for the winter it would be a no brainer...
$175 a month would be a little steep.

No reason to do shrinkwrap & indoor, unless the indoor is in an old barn or something.

Last year I stored mine uncovered, indoor, concrete floor, with power, had a bilge heater, block heater two shop lights & fan in the boat. Used it several times thru the winter & drained everything after each use. No problems at all.

Ditto on what Bill says. Don't shrinkwrap indoors. Remember...
shrink also keeps moisture in, so good airflow is needed to prevent mildew.

I've done the shrinkwrap outdoors for two winters here in Utah now. Cleaned the boat up real good before shrinkwrap and it looked the same when we took it off in the spring.

That being said, I would rather have it indoors, so its totally out of the elements but my garage is too small and storage prices are ridiculous. Shrinkwrap is a ton cheaper so I went with that option. Best for me for now.

Hoping to make it till the end of September here before putting her up.

For storage, we have gigantic underground caves here in Kansas City, provides indoor shelter, no power needed and temp always 70F. I think its worth it pay more for heated indoor type storage like this. (even if it is a cave!)

Outdoor shrinkwrap all the way!

When you try and preserve something you put it in the freezer right?

In Wisconsin, cold indoor works great. I've stored my boat this way every year and never had any trouble.

I've stayed away from the barn option due to varmints looking for a winter home. A squirrel or a mouse could do a lot of damage.
