I have my boat listed on Craigs List and received this e-mail. Looks like a scam to me. What do you all think. Thanks for the help.

I am interested in your item and i will be paying you through check. Can i have more pictures available sent to my email? Really wanted to come over to check out the item but i figured i may spend more than i can afford for the trip and thats more expenses to me. i have to tell you what i do i am an agent and i deal on commission for a living i get whatever my client need and make sure it gets to the destination in a short while........................................for example when my clients need anything they will contact me and i will find it for them and i contact the seller and the seller give me a price and i add a little on it to cover the shipping damages and so on and including profit for myself ....................................so please i need your total honesty to do this kindly get back to me with a list of what you have for sale as i have a lot of client and this will help me a lot and once you receive the check kindly take the check to the bank.It will get cleared in the next 2 day you will deduct your money for the item and send the remaining balance to my store keeper through WESTERN UNION MONEY TRANSFER for him to schedule the pickup of the item ok.so if this is ok by you kindly get back to me with your final asking price and your full name and full contact address so i can go ahead with your payment thanks

I hope this is a Rhetorical question Mike.

If not, then the answer is YES!!

It is the infamous Nigerian Scam. If you need some entertainment you can fool with them a little, otherwise just ignore it, you will get screwed.

SCAM. He gives you a bad check, money order, etc. You deposit it into your account, get his cash back and mail it too him. Then, the next week when the check comes back your out whatever you spent of the money deposited and the amount you sent to him.

Somebody posted a link to an entire website where the guy messes with Nigerian check scammers. It is pretty funny. I get 15 of those replies for every one legit reply I get from a Craigslist ad.
