Hey everyone, have a question here. I have a proline LG handle from like '06, and the chamois grip has started getting lose and allowing the padding underneath to move around. Anyone ever thought of fixing this? What I was thinking was snip the stitching, take off the chamois and padding, and let everything dry cause I've been using it. Then use fabric glue to reattach the padding to the bar and the chamois to the padding, then perhaps pull it a little tighter and stitch it closed.
First question... anyone done this? Second question... I'm assuming fabric glue is most likely NOT waterproof and will just come apart as soon as it gets wet. What kind of glue is used on bindings?
Third question... anyone know how to get the end caps off without destroying them? I guess that should have been the first question, but oh well.
I'm not worried about voiding a warranty or anything cause the handle is 2 years old, and its still a good handle so I can't justify buying a new one, the LG is my favorite handle ever so please don't suggest getting a different type.

Get a new LG. They're far more durable than the old ones.

I got the ends off of an old handle by sticking them in boiling water until the plastic was hot enough to pry off.

Even though it is 2 years old there were some LGs that were faulty. You might give proline a call. They might hook you up.
