I was just wondering what people were getting on their boat with say 1000 # ballast. I don't know for sure but i think my SN 2001 with 1200 hours is about 3.5 gal/h. Not like it really matters at this point but when gas hits 5 bucks a gallon it may be a bigger concern.

I think the VLX with stock, wedge and an extra #1000 burns about 8 gallons per hour or $32.00 an hour. Ouch

03 tige 22v 900# ballast 335hp got 4.5gph this last weekend only had 3 peeps. most times 8 peeps and get 5 gph maybe 5.5. i have really found myself taking it easy on the throttle with gas prices up and its been getting .5 gph better on an avg.. every little bit helps these days.
