Although that is a really nice restoration. They didn't put the swim platform back on, and they didn't show a picture of the engine. My guess is that they didn't even touch the motor or make an attempt at redoing the stringers.

It has to be a new motor...The engine cover is badged with "327" I don't remember those boats having 327s in them. but I may be wrong. Way before my time

Looks good to me... But if it were up to me, I'd have used a different color scheme.

I thought it looked awesome..I doubt anyone would do that to an old boat and neglect the motor. Although why didnt they show it off?

I think they did use a Chrysler, but Chrysler makes 318's and 340's but not 327's. I have a friend that has a boat of that age with a slant six in it. It also had a foot pedal throtle and the gear shift (fwd, neut, rvs) on the stearing column.

That thing would have been tight if they kept it the classy original look. To each his own I guess.

I agree Big Heavy. It looks a little over the top. I have to admit the seats are interesting.

Which ones Leo?...I went an looked and didn't find any. In fact the official literature on the website shows that chrylser did in fact provide Marine engines. They had a 318, a 383, 413, and a 426 available. These were the common displacement engines for a Chrylser at the time. 318's shared the same block as the other small block variants...just slightly different bore/stroke combinations. I can tell you for a fact that Chrysler NEVER produced a production 327ci motor...and in particular of that vintage. Further, if you look at the ebay ad, they clearly state it is a 327 Chevrolet motor. Being argumenative for being argumentatives sake...or was it just a bad day?

Oh, and since most displacements shared the same short block, it is not uncommon to find a boat with a 327, 350, 427 chevy or a 318, 340, 360 Chrysler. Same thing probably happened with boats using ford motors. you'll see your fair share of 302's and 351's where they should not normally be.

Yeah, it's a nice looking boat, but I don't think you could plan on using this CC for pulling watersports. I don't think it was built for that purpose either really.
