wakeboard sizing?

Ive been wakeboarding for about 2 years, but really getting more into it last season. When buying a board how do I know what size to get?? I am 5'9 185 but fluxuate between 180 and 190. Any suggestions? Thanks

It depends on what your looking for in a wakeboard. Smaller boards=less spin weight. Bigger board= softer landings. I would say 138 at the smallest and 142 at the biggest.

big boards also give you more pop

Some of board size is preference. Also some board characteristics can effect the ride and allow you to go a little bigger or smaller.

IMO you should be on 140 +/- 2cm.

I'm 5-9, 175. I ride a Transcend 138, but only because the board is fast. On a slower board, I normally ride 140/141.

Yeah, go with a 140+. I'm 5'9 and around 160. Two seasons ago I moved from a 136 to a 142 and I am glad I switched.

There are lots of good boards. My personal favorites are the CWBs: Transcend, Absolute, Kink, and Pure

I am pretty new to the sport and I bought an 06 Watson 142 last summer and loved it! I'm about the same height, weight as you. Bought a Substance 138 to play with this summer as well to try out a shorter board but IMO, you can't go wrong with that 142 Watson 2006 (if you can find one)
