exactly.....your not going to be able to learn a backroll on a trampoline because a backroll is all about the type of cut you take and learning to cut all the way through it.....learning on a trampoline is kind of hucking the trick and you will learn that if you huck a backroll on the water you will go down and maybe get hurt.

You and a couple of buddies go out and just huck it until someone lands it. Then the guy that lands it first can help every one else out.

You can however learn air sense off a trampoline which will help. I found that playing on the diving board and learning a variety of flips helped me out. Of course it's not the same thing without the pull, but just learning what to do with your body to initiate flips and what not helps.

Speaking of the diving board, I'm off to play on one in a bit.

When i practiced a backroll on a trampoline it hurt me more than helped. ON the tramp you have to jump up and do it. Way different then on the wake. It really helped my tantrum though.

The only thing trampolines help is air awareness. They don't really translate well to the water because, as has already been said, most tricks on a wakeboard are more about edging and loading the line than hucking. I mean, it's still really fun to try wakeboard tricks on trampolines, but they don't help with edging, etc.
