about 8 years ago a company tried to market a hard tank that would mount under the swim deck for ballast. I actually though this was a good idea as when you were idle the tank was in the water creating no weight. when you moved, it would be out of the water creating the weight. any pros or conns to this idea?

it was called the wake-tank i don,t know why it dissapeared,i always thought it was a good idea for DD boats.
max downforce without loosing storage room.
Too much stress on the joints??...i guess we will never know.

Anyone know or have an idea on this? I wonder how much weight you could get under there? I would think since it was farther from the center or farther back than a sac laying on the floor, it would probably take less weight..?
