No joke. But I would think that they would only find large amounts of E. Coli in still water.

sac river flows much faster than the mokelumne, i guess it depends on the channel and where the waste water is being dumped, what other dead things (besides the usual animals). but i don't think it has much to do with flow rate of the rivers...

I have a few friends who ride with us once in awhile (not very serious about it and just do it for fun) and they will only ride if go to a lake. They are freaked out about riding in the Delta and always say we are crazy for riding in it. I'll still take my chances with the Delta butter any day till some two headed muskrats or sturgeon are found in it. I agree with keeping your mouth closed. Probably best to clinch the butt cheeks when falling on your a*s, too......lol. I would not recommend a Delta enema to anyone.

I've had E. Coli. I got it in Wisconsin from hamburger. You do NOT want it. The most pain in that I've ever experienced... and for days straight. I don't even remember it much, people stopped by to check on me and said I looked like death (i don't even remember them coming). I'm not saying don't ride there, but I wouldn't do it (just because I've had e coli and know exactly what it's like).

1,600 MPN is way too high. That could turn a grip burn from a wakeskate into a nasty infection. I would not ride in that water.

E. Coli, dead bodies, refrigerators, cars, fish with 5 eyes, cigarette boats. Not safest place but... I love it!

I heard MC is coming out with a new line of boats for the Delta. MC already has the SS (salt series) now they are coming out with the DB series, just for the Delta. DB short for "Dooky Buster", comes standard with gas masks for 6 passengers a high pressure wash down filled with anti bacterial soap for those hard to clean crevaces. Instead of a binding blaster it has a waterpic filled with Scope to knock out the turd particles in your teeth. They also have a newly designed prop thats not only great for heavily weighted boats but is tuned specifically for mincing and dicing some of the largest turds afloat. They say it will be avaiable this summer.
