I feel like any Wake World thread involving preference turns in to a "no way mine is better than yours" thread. That is not this thread. There are no wrong answers. I was just looking at the new 23LSV that was posted and got to thinking, "what are my favorite looking wake boats?" I'm not talking about wake shape, surf shape, creature comforts, or customer service. I am talking about the boats that make you pause and the dock and say, "damn, that boat is hot." There is some flexibility in models when it comes to multiple tower changes or graphic changes, but all-in-all a boat that keeps its hull and deck configurations will mostly look the same despite what tower, trailer, or graphics it gets. Pick whatever you want.
1. The Supra Launch 24SSV
I admit, I'm partial to it because I have a 24SSV (though not this somewhat-WakeWorld famous Supra belonging to jonyb). The way the lines of the boat look are perfect. It looks great from every angle.
2. Malibu 23LSV
The tower really set this boat apart from the pack and, though I'm not a huge fan of the stainless towers they use now, it's still a great looking boat.
3. 2nd generation X-Star
It took me a while to appreciate this boat but, damn, it's a fine looking boat. I saw it on the water before I ever saw it online and just didn't know what it was. Great looking boat that has aged very well.
4. Nautique G23
What a monster, making dry storage units everywhere fear for the future. I loved the lines and the graphics from the moment I saw it but didn't know how I'd feel about it once I saw it in person. I saw it at the lake this past weekend and what a giant, beautiful boat.
5. 1st generation X-Star / X1
The towers they put on this boat in its twilight years as an X1 did little to help sales. It looked like a bit of scaffolding on top of an otherwise great looking boat. This original tower, with really great lines for the windshield, complimented this boat very well. I still want to stop and look in one of these whenever I see them at the dock.

Personal preference right... in no particular order here are 5 i've always liked
Mastercraft ProStar with Mini Tower - i know it's not a wake boat but it looks fantastic
Malibu Wakesetter with titan III tower - probably my favorite tower of all time
Tige RZ2 - when I briefly had one, it got more looks and "nice boat" comments than any other
MB B52V23 - This was the boat that got me into MB. I know these graphics are not popular but i still think this boat looks great.
X-Star 40th Anniversary Edition - Just look at it.

1) 2008 40th Anniversary X-Star. It's just perfection.
2) Malibu VLX with the first Generation of Illusion Tower. LOVED those boats. Especially all black with green or orange accents. Not the best picture but what I could find quickly
Based on looks alone, those will always be my top 2.

Tough question. Great question.
Let's see, looks alone...
Not sure about the order but, here go's.
Supra 24SSV- so clean
Tige Z1 (1st gen)- so clean as well
2000 Tige 22i- my boat. Probably just from being drunk and rubbing it with a diaper for so many years. It does have great lines though.
MC NXT- those lines give me wood
Supra comp ts6m- those crazy negative chines and the crazy v-entry. Just cool looking.
Honorable mentions-
MC X45 (gen 1)
MC XStar (gen 3)

Lots of nice boats. I like shiny objects. Its amazing how boats get better and better. I thought nothing could ever be improved on my first Correct Craft 2001. Who knows what the future will bring.
One thing I have noticed is the tower design of most newer boats has a very large base that is a bit obstructive. From a functionality standpoint, I like the more traditional tower that follows the windshield lines instead of that large block of aluminum. But...I also like the old Nautique stand up windshield instead of those that wrap around the sides, analog gauges, traditional bow designs and galvanized trailers.

Me too, Tim. But judging by our Join Dates we are in a minority because we are sentimental towards the older boats. I like the functionality of the single base two-point towers, they make a lot more sense than the four point folding towers. However, I really love the lines of a four-point tower.

I think I can make a top 5 list just from this thread. This boat just made my lose 5 minutes of my day. I think its safe to say at this point, it would be my number 1. I'm glad I don't live closer to N3, they'd know me as "the sucker who just came in and said he had to have this G23, and then tried to negotiate with his tongue hanging out of his mouth." My budget wouldn't like that a whole lot, but I think it would have happened.

I just tried to look up a better pick of ripr's Supra. I think it looked best on the trailer. It was on the old site, but for some reason, I can't get there. I also tried to see what new 21v's go for and realized Supra isn't make them anymore. When did this happen? The 21V was such a great and classic looking boat!
