The first year for the DLX with EFI was in 94. So I would guess that was the first year across their line.

I have a 96 DLX that is carb. They came both ways until late 90s or shortly thereafter. It was a slight savings. The EFi was definitley worth the extra.

If you believe NADA 2003 was the last year the 270hp carb motor was standard. I am guessing they probably quite putting it in any of there boats at that point unless specifically ordered with a carb motor.

So for a late 90's boat if it isn't a black scorpion does it have a carb?

(if I remember correctly) when I bought my boat in '99 there were three engine options: 5.7 ski 270 hp,carb. 350 mag 300 hp,TBI and the 330 hp Black Scorpion MPI.

My 94 was fuel injected and wasn't a Black Scorpion. Can't remember if the Scorpion was around that year as an option.

The 350 mag is a 315 HP Throttle body engine. Jason, I have a 2000 V210 I might be selling later in the year.

In 93 and 94, there were two carb motors, the Comp Ski at 250 HP and the 350 Mag at 265 HP. The Comp Ski went away in 05, and all carb 350's were 265 HP. The 350 Mag started life as 300 HP and jumped to 315 HP when it went from TBI to MPI.

Isn't the MAG 315hp still a TBI motor? I am pretty sure the 2003 Calabria I had was a TBI.

Last year my service books show for a TBI 350 was 98. After that, all the Mags are listed a MPI's.

Correction...the early Mag MPI motors were 300 HP, they picked up the extra 15 HP after that.

The first fuel injected Sanger that was a ski boat was a 1987 Sanger TX with a Mercruiser 320 EFI engine. Hull ID # SAN10299K687. I even have photos for those who may not belive it.

No fair, Stern Drives are a different story. They started playing with EFI way before the much smaller inboard market. Speaking of cool oddball Sangers, we just had a ZX Driver come through. Don't see many of those around. Cool boat.
