I currently have 2 boards. A Broadcast and an Inland Surfer 4 skim. While the Broadcast was a great learner board, it dies quickly once we fade from the sweet spot. The IS board is faster and seems easier to recover compared to the Broadcast, but still looking better options. Perhaps a different IS board?

Is there a board available that is even faster and quicker recovery then the IS 4 skim? I am 6'0 185. My wave is nothing stellar coming from an 05 VLX.

Options and opinions would be great. Thanks.

From IS the blue lake is a fun all around board, and the red woody is really fast but not quite as maneuverable. I know Shred Stix makes some fast boards but i've never been on one

I like the IS blue and the Shred Stixx Ja mako, although I am sure there are a lot of boards that would be similar.

Can anyone tell me how fast the SMED wombat board is compared to say a Shred Stixx Comp1 or Hazen Board? We don't have a lot of chances to ride different boards out here.

Aren't the comp 1 and the hazen board the same?

I have the same two boards. I was looking at (but never tried) Shred Stixx Ja Mako (try wakeoutlaws.com for a used one) or a trickboards.com board they look really kewl and not too expensive.

What do you think of a different fin on the 4-skim? Boardersmall.com has them.

I have a bullet for sale, it's fast but it has to be on it's rails, so it's not for everyone. But once you get the hang of it, I guess it's amazing.
