I'm looking at an 06 LSV and the owner says it has 65 hours. Then, he says "but it also says 50 hours air time". He doesn't know what this "air time" refers to.
Anyone know what he's talking about?

i could be completely wrong but im guessing he means towing the boat to and from wherever he goes. 65 hours is not a lot for a boat.

Is there a gauge on an 06 LSV that says "air time"?
If yes, what does this refer to?

I think he is accidently looking at the "Air Temp." display....haha... boats generally don't have air time.

That's what I thought. I'm pretty new to boating but have been on a few boats (from ski/wake boats, to runabouts). I've never seen or heard of an "air time" indicator.
Thanks guys.

So the key is to buy that boat on a hot day so it has lots of air time.

50 hours air time? not good ,that in my opinion knocks at least 10 grand off the current price!

Trey,
lol. I'll use this when I negotiate price with owner.

Is there a gauge that i am not aware of that counts the time the boat is underway or driving at speed as opposed to simply idling through the no wake zones or just floating around with the engine on? I would ignore the 50 hours of "air time" and pay attention to the 65 hours, which is nothing, the boat is barely broken in. The engine is basically brand new. You guys are hilarious, good call on the "cleat index,"...to funny.

He may mean non running hours, I.E. key on to run stereo but engine not running. But that is more old school most boats don't accrue hours unless the motor is running,if it's efi you can have a tech one or laptop put on it to get the "actual" engine hours.
