i think it would be so sick if someone could do a legit elephant to backside 180. kinda like a tootsie but with the frontside shifty first. that would be so sick!

Its still a tootsie roll....reguardless of how you do it. What your saying is that there should be multiple names for tricks depending on where you grab it, or an extra spin. Thats rediculous to begin with....because if the industry as a whole accepted this logic we would end up with names just like "the peanut hunter. Not saying that what the tricks are called now isnt retarded, but why contribute to the cause. This is the exact reason a crow5 is call a crow5 instead of "butter churner" or something even more retarded. (Message edited by JOSHJ095 on January 14, 2009)

I'd agree that it would be a new trick, but I hope whoever lands it calls it an elephant backside 180. its easier to remember than a completey new name.

it is definately not the same as a tootsie. that trick would be so much harder than a tootsie so it should definately be called something different

Its not just a Tootsie. If it was just a tootsie poeple would be doing them like man. I can do tootsie rolls, they are simple, this on the other hand would be insanly hard, the line tension alone would be carzy.

I have embraced the whole... retarded trick name thing. I think its hilarious. I'm sure we've all watched B.Soven talk about the BDB and the BDB 5 and laughed our a**es off. Although the anger in your post reveals that in the past you were beat up because of a bad trick name I agree with the grab comment... I thought Ricky G was retarded for trying to call an Indy Pete an "Ozzie Smith"... but that doesn't even compare to the variation of the trick we are discussing here. If SOB wanted to throw a new name on it I think it would be totally legit.

when a toeside raley is grabbed it becomes a bat wing when a heelside raley is grabbed it could be a hoochie, ohh, indy glide, nuc glide, etc, etc... who really cares if it has a different name. you can call it whatever you like in your boat

jason - glides or raley based tricks don't count in my "grab" re-name analysis.

so is a ungrabbed pete a just called a toe mobe??? or what about a ungrabbed BDB? I dont think a grab makes the trick, the move does.. except for raley based tricks. But extra 180s/ shiftys definetly make it a new trick

so basically you would do a full scaresrow and then instead of bringing it to a front roll like a normal ele you come out of the crow into a bs 180? im trying to picture this which bs 180 would this end up being because being basically now on your switch ts edge ,i guess a cab/ts bs 180? im confused i guess ,still sounds cool though.. BTW IMO its if its a blind elep[ahnat then it should just be a crow into a bs 180 because the normal elephant only has two elements the crow back to front..so an extra element would definitly warrant a different name maybe a elephant to blind.. anyway thats my take on the name stuff.. also IMO i think it would be crazy to see a crow to bs 180,that would be hard as well..

ole back mobe 5 would be SICK but it would probably look very similar to an O/A ole 9. thats the problem with the ole vs inverts. Ie: TS ole o/a 5 vs. scarecrow or ole TS 9 vs. crow mobe 5. the line becomes hazy.

thats a sick video, I wish they slow moed some of those tricks a second time. I LOVED the FS 360 rewind to 180. I think that "blind elephant" is sick but it dont think its what we are talking about on this thread. That was the BS version of an elephant (TS frontroll BS shifty) versus TS frontroll (FS shifty then an extra BS 180 or in other words do a frontroll frontside 180 (scarecrow), stop, then do a 360 in the opposite direction). Maybe it was in there but I only saw the BS elephant, there were 1 or 2 tricks I couldnt decipher though.

What's with the confusion? The way i see it is it's a scarecrow, then a s/w h/s 360. or maybe that's not what you guys are talking about? blind elephant?
