Anybody know how you are supposed to replace a broken boa cable on a 2006 hyperlite murray??

I can't see any way of doing it without ripping the whole boot apart!

send them to Hype through a dealer and get a new pair. I go through Grizzly-Sports and it usually only takes 2 weeks. The only problem is that they are 2006's so you might not be covered.

If you do get a new set I would suggest selling them and buying some boots without the BOA. I went with 3ds and loved them. The BOA system is majorly flawed and cant stand up to ANY abuse. I popped 3 pair before I got smart and sold them.

once the boa breaks on those binding they are done... i went through like 8 pairs no way to fix them they have to be replaced.
now on the temet and brown 05 murrays i NEVER had a problem with the boa......so i dont think its the boa but they way they incorporated them into the 06 and 07 murrays....just my 2 cents

If it is the wire that breaks, the fix is easy and your local shop should have the repair kit at no charge. The kit has a small tool, spare wire and instructions. I replaced one on my byerlys last week in literally 3 minutes.

Yep, easy repair as long as you can get the set screw out. It's usualy only diffucult if you ride in salt water. I've had the BOA's on two different sets of bindings over five seasons with zero problems. I like the ability to adjust on the fly.

Well I contacted the Hype dealer & they said that the 06 model is NOT repairable!! To get to the ankle fixing point you have to strip the whole boot apart, thus rendering it useless!!
They maybe should point that out before people pay a serious amount of money for a top line binding that could break for no apparent reason, at any time!!!

The best bit is, even tho I only bought them a year ago (slightly cheaper as previous season model) They will not replace them as they are over 12 months old! What a waste of money!!

The boots are like new & haven't seen that much action. Less than 20 outings I would guess!

I would never by a BOA system from Hype again! Would think twice about any Hype binding to be honest!

Neil, I applologize for mis information. I was thinking of my Byerly's I guess. I made a call and was told that the 06 and 07 Murray's are not servicable as far as the cable goes, but was also told that the warranty period is two years from date of purchase so yours are still under warranty.
