I know these get excessive but... I haven't seen a direct comparison between the Watson, Shane, and Lyman all at once. I'm interested in speed/hold while on edge, looseness (is that a word?) while off edge, pop (up and out), and softness of landing. An example using a 1-5 scale: Watson: speed/hold 4, loose 3, pop up 5, pop out 3, landing 3 Shane: speed/hold 4, loose 5, pop up 4, pop out 4, landing 5 Lyman: speed/hold 5, loose 3, pop up 3, pop out 5, landing 4 Anyone game for a quick rating? Also, I wear size 12 shoes, would it be better to get 11-12 or 12-13 for Shane CTs?

I wear shane 11-12 and I am a size 12. At first they are a little tight and I wanted to take them back but after the third set they are perfect. (Message edited by burberry03 on September 19, 2008)

I have not rode the shane but here is how I would rank the lyman and watson: Watson(finless): speed/hold 5, loose 3, pop up 5, pop out 4, landing 5 Lyman(finless): speed/hold 4, loose 3, pop up 2, pop out 5, landing 3

Thanks - I saw the one on the Lyman thread, just looking for more opinions between the three. I can get a good deal, but won't have the chance to ride ahead of time. I had made up my mind on a Shane, but lately I've seen a lot of talk about the Watson and Lyman. I am basing my decision on the experience of others so I was looking for a more organized opinion.

simon & billy, the lyman doesnt pop you just straight out. its more like up and out. i can go bigger on w2w with the lyman than i can on any other board

So how about throwing some more LF stuff in this thread...I seriously think that it gets confusing after a company offers more than 3-4 boards. How does the Trip and Axis compare to these? Oh, lets name some other boards from LF Omega, Press, PS3, Watson, Shane, Lyman, Trip, Axis, Substance, Team....I know I'm forgetting some...Very confusing. By the way, my ratings were just an example - not real numbers since I am looking to buy and don't have the chance to ride them all. I know there are a ton of people who have ridden LF boards that can do a direct comparison!
