Delta Cross Channel Gates

I was looking at doing a trip up to Sac during the summer via the delta from Stockton. Looking at routes the shortest way would be to go into Walnut Grove through the Delta Cross Channel Gates.

My question is does anybody know when they typically have them open/closed? From what I can tell from the CA Operations Control Office Website the gates are currently closed. Does this seem to be accurate from what you can tell.

you can always call the Boat House in Locke.

They used to know when they were going to open and close.

We used to go thru those gates all the time when we lived in Elk Grove. Call first, but I remember them being closed till Memorial Day or near that time depending upon water levels.

Better get used to seeing those since they are installing a crap load of them along the south delta for our So-Cal brother's lawn watering programs.
