It looks stupid. As a good friend of mine would say..."more closed toe gayness"

binding stance would be adjusted by moving the screw to a different hole...

harris, it looks like the baseplate could be adjusted as well. similar to FAST system. screw a different hole! (Message edited by denverd1 on August 23, 2006)

Well Duh! But if you look at it, the hole that is being used would cause the binding to be pointed more in than out...like it is. I would guess it is like the fast system but I wasn't sure what else might be in play.

I personally think they look sweet. Closed toe = warm toes. I can't tell if they help my edging technique like some people claim, but if anything they keep my feet warmer which is worth it in my book. I don't see any downside other than looks and that is all personal preference. I can't wait until O'Brien starts making a pair and Aden converts to them. Haha just messing with yah man.

They look better to me then the other closed toe bindings on the market,I would like to put a pair on my board and give them a try and see whats up. Is that glue on the back bottom leaking out of the binding? looks like it.

I dont think so, I guess it could be anything, but it looks alot like the glue that holds soles to shoes.

Just my .02 but I love my 3ds and I think the all black is sharp. Not sure I'm a fan of the looks of the above boot but then again its not about looks its about performance. One thing I don't get tho is the basplate... that looks like the same baseplate from like 5 years ago. I would think the O'briens could be a little more creative on a baseplate design, unless there is more there than meets the eye. And if thats the case I will insert foot in mouth.

I think that is still the best baseplate design to this day. I have not tried the LF system, and I have heard good things, but I hate the O'Brien/Hyp thing they have going on with the claws.

I really loved the claws, made adjusting super easy with way more options for different positions.
