I am extremely new to wakeboarding (touched my first wakeboard today) but I have seen it done and always wanted to do it. Today my dad brought me home a Liquid Force Omega board, with matching bindings (thats all I know about them). It is 139.3 cm, with a fin in the middle. I am 6'1, 140 pounds, and have snowboarded and skateboarded. Will this board be a good choice?

How fast do you think I should get pulled? How fast do most riders go? I heard like 30, but I thought that was pretty insane, and dangerous.

30? It really depends on your boat and your skill level. I would say more like 18 to 21.

I was just kiddin by the way. Jeff's right, 18 to low 20s should work out just fine. -Steve

I thought maybe he was messing with me, because otherwise why would you want video of a first timer. I should probably go slower then that to get up though, right?

Whatever feels good to you Chris, start out at about 18 and as you progress add a little more speed.
