Just wanted to see which celeberties are into wakeboarding. Who have you had behind your boat? Here's my list:

Terje Haakonsen - Burton's Godfather of Snowboarding

Hiroyasu Shimizu - Japan's Olympic Speedskating Gold Medalist (Did his first backroll)

Jamie O'Brien - Pro Surfer

Scott Dixon Just won the Indy 500 this year and i see him out behind his X Star doing wake Jumps haha. One time he was racing on TV and the sportscasters did a little interview on him and had a clip of him doing a really bad heel-side wake to wake haha

Hannah Teter, her then boyfriend and some photographer went out with a family friend and our daughters two summers ago up here at Tamarack.. i guess she was pretty good at riding but totally got into wakesurfing and ended up getting a Phase 5 from the local shop..

Quite a few of the NASCAR drivers do, including Kasey Kahne and Denny Hamilin. Also, there are a ton of golfers that are into it, including the former number one LPGA player in the world Annika Sorenstam, and the current number one player in the world, Lorena Ochoa. I know that Lorena used to start her morning work out Routine with a set behind her boat. I am not sure if she still does or not though.

Jeremy McGrath, Brian Deegan and Mike Metzger all have lived in Canyon Lake. Once heard that McGrath rode the East Bay (all 5mph).

California Correct Craft sold an Air Nautique to Tom Hanks. Couple of my friends went to deliver the boat, teach his kids to ride.

As far as on my boat, biggest celeb was you, Reid!

I dont' think shaun white competed at the x-games, but I remember a write up in an older issue of WBM that covered boardfest, or some sort of crossover festival, and there was a shot of him wakeboarding in that article.

Micah miginnity (sp) and jussi oksanen wakeboard. There's some cool footage of some older snowboarders wakeboarding--they did some product testing for thurster skiboards--guys like chris roach and steve grahm (sp-again), shaun farmer...shaun palmer was in an old wakeboarding ad (I believe it was for kidder). Mutiny had some skaters riding, like jeff kendall and kris markovitch. as a whole, the list goes on...

but none of those guys were behind my boat. :-)

I've heard that Shawn White is good enough to be a pro surfer if he wanted too. I've never heard anything about his wakeboard skills.

Good call Jason i've heard the same about Shawn Whites surfing. Do you guys think a good skateboarder would make a good wakeskater? I'd give my left.... to see a Rodney Mullen of wakeskating. That guy is ridiculous

Hey Robyn, Cale is doing great. 1st time in 3 years he is riding in May/June. 2006 shot in the eye with an air soft gun, 2007 reconstructive shoulder surgery. So he is learning tons.
I think the next time we will see you is at Nationals. I hope you guys do great the next two months.

I had the opportunity to pull Terje in 1996. He started out on a Neptune Six (most of you don't even know what that was). He hated it!!! He wanted to try a Kirk Hawaii (I guarantee most of you haven't heard of that Wakeboard Company)and absolutley loved it. Never fell, as a matter of fact he would be laying on his back and pop back up. He was truly a "Cat". Jamie was 10 years old and could have made a great pro wakeboarder if he wanted to. Hope everyone is ready for summer. And Jeff, your the biggest celeb on the leftcoast. Say Hi to Joe Pearson and Damien for me. Can't believe Damien is still charging.

I know several of the Indy car guys have boats. THe ones that have a mastercraft out here are out of Pinecrest Marine. I know we have used Scott Dixons boat for clinics. Matt Crow prob knows more on this than me.

Tank already mentioned it...but my Brother & Jeremy Thompson (formally with CCC) and myself delivered a boat to Tom Hanks and His Wife Rita Wilson up in Sun Valley Idaho. Stayed for a few days and showed them and their family how to use all the new stuff. I was very impressed how down to earth and humble they were.
Mark Paul Gosselar rode at a couple Canyon Lake events as well.
