Land with the handle in. The handle is your control. If you land with the handle in, it will pull the board underneath you so you can crouch down enough and absorb the shock of the landing with your knees, hips, etc. If you land with the handle out, you have to stiff-leg it in order to save the jump, and you end up with sore heels, knees, etc. Bindings and board can only help so much and are secondary to technique, in my opinion.
