Greenville, SC - JBM & Associates, producers of the Wilmington Boat Show, September 8-10, in downtown Wilmington, are happy to announce a multi-year partnership between the show and Yamaha Motor Corporation. "After a tremendous first year show, we knew we had something special, but to have Yamaha as our partner, we are ecstatic. They bring a wide berth of possibilities for the show as well as a great deal of clout," said Jacqui Bomar, President of JBM & Associates, and founder of the Wilmington Boat Show.
 
The first show was held last September 9-11, 2016 at the Port City Marina, Pier 33, Battleship Park and the Wilmington Convention Center. The inaugural show drew a massive crowd with more than 12,000 attendees over the three days.

"The amount of traffic exceeded my highest expectation. What a first class way to introduce a top quality boat show at a new venue, in a new city. Thousands of participants were able to view the best brands in boating from the best dealers in the region, while enjoying the beautiful river view of downtown Wilmington, NC," said Thom Cross, General Manager of MarineMax, Wrightsville Beach.

The main reason Bomar feels they had so much success for the first year was due to the fact that Wilmington is the perfect location on the east coast for a major in-water boat show. With the amount of boaters in North Carolina alone and no other in-water show, the show’s downtown location showcased boats of all makes and models to an audience of thousands of attendees. "My team and I had reports from boat dealers who sold boats to attendees from Virginia, Georgia, Florida, Missouri and Michigan. Those are just the folks we had an opportunity to hear from," said Bomar.
 
JBM & Associates is a veteran boat show management company. They have been producing the Charleston Boat Show for the past 16 years, the Savannah Boat Show for 15 years, the Charleston In-Water Boat Show for 4 years and the Wilmington Boat Show will celebrate its second year. “We are already sold out of in-water exhibit space six months prior to the show and in my history this is unheard of,” said Bomar. Currently, we only have land and booth exhibit space available. With several venues making up the show, spanning across the Cape Fear River, the show is already larger than most in the southeast.
