It was a heavy weekend for many in the wakeboarding community as we learned that our great friend and brand representative Benjamin Leclair suffered a severe spinal cord injury on Friday, Nov. 25 while wakeboarding in Orlando, Florida. Ben was immediately airlifted to the hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery and is now in the hands of some of the best medical staff in the world.
 
Ben’s friends and family are by his side in this grievous time. He is currently restrained from moving to protect his spinal cord from any further damage but is stable and responsive which is great news. Unfortunately Ben is not yet able to speak due to sedation and a breathing aid. We were lucky to be able to visit him over the weekend and spend time with his amazing family. They are doing an amazing job of providing the love, support, and positivity that Ben needs in this trying time, and regardless of the many emotions, they are happy to see in his face that "Ben is still Ben."
 
We want to extend a massive thanks to Kevin Henshaw, who was with Ben during the accident and has remained by his side ever since. Fellow riders Matthew Manzari and Brad Smeele have also been a massive help in in providing guidance, inspiration, and comfort for the family.
