Amber Wing is one of the most progressive athletes and a dominating force in competitive women’s wakeboarding. At the beginning of the year she set out to raise awareness for her sport, encourage women to strive for more and, in turn, inspire future generations of female wakeboarders. The result was the creation of Sets in Motion.
 
Spawning from Wing’s vision, with support from Oakley and the hard work and determination of the top female wake athletes world wide, a ten episode online video series was produced.
 
"All of these girls go out and ride; and I’m riding with them. I see how awesome they are at wakeboarding and the tricks they can throw down, but you don’t see those tricks in competition. They never make it on film and no one ever knows about it," said Wing when asked about the motivation behind creating Sets in Motion. "This project was meant to lift the bar of women’s wakeboarding in the eyes of the world; to showcase how legit the girls really are and what they really can do."
 
The goal of the project was never to promote any one brand or any one athlete – it was meant to showcase the best that these world-class female athletes have to offer. The outcome is an all-female, multi-media project, filmed at locations around the globe, with the best women wakeboarders, all of whom pushed the limits beyond what they ever thought was possible – both on and off the water.
 
As the webisode series comes to a close, Oakley is happy to announce the premiere of the Sets in Motion feature film. Sets In Motion, a women’s wake film, will premiere at Mile High Wakeboarding in Denver Colorado on July 20, 2013.
 
The world premiere will be open to the public for an outside screening on Saturday night accompanied by the athletes themselves, good music, great BBQ and giveaways.
