For all intents and purposes, Mizuki Takahashi is the adopted child of Cobe and Tarah Mikacich, proprietors of Freedom Wake Park. Since 2017 will be Mizuki's last year in the Junior Pro Men division, he will be prepping for his first year in the Pro Men division under some of the best tutelage available from these wakeboarding mainstays. Keep an eye on this kid as he goes out of Jr. Pro Men with what it sure to be a bang and continues what appears to be a promising career as a pro rider in the years to come. WW: Name?
MT: My name is Mizuki Takahashi. It's kind of hard to remember, so just think of name of car Suzuki!
 
WW: Age?
MT: I am currently 19 years old.
 
WW: Hometown?
MT: I have a few hometowns. The first one is Hyogo, Japan, where Godzilla is from. My second hometown is Orlando, Florida!
 
WW: Current setup?
MT: I use Ronix One bindings and the Ronix One Time Bomb board.
 
WW: Stance?
MT: I guess I wasn't normal, so I'm goofy stance.
 
WW: Ride spot?
MT: I ride at Freedom Wake Park and on Clear Lake.
 
WW: How much weight is added to your boat?
MT: Ahhhhh, I'm an Asian, but I guess I'm not really good at mathematics. I think there is a lot of weight on the boat!
 
WW: Do you work out?
MT: I try to stay in a good shape in the winter, so I try to eat healthy and bike for 30 minutes.
 
WW: Who do you ride with?
MT: I enjoy riding with Cobe Mikacich, Tarah Mikacich, Daniel Miles and Tony Carroll! They all are really good riders and I respect them a lot!
 
WW: Favorite food?
MT: Definitely my favorite food is not McDonald's because it gives me a stomach ache. I like eating sushi, tacos and pasta!
 
WW: Favorite color?
MT: I've never really had favorite colors, but I would say I like sky blue!
 
WW: Favorite season?
MT: My favorite season is, of course, summer.
 
WW: Favorite travel destination?
MT: My favorite travel destination was a family trip to Saipan Island several years ago because that was when and where I started wakeboarding.
 
WW: Sponsors?
MT: Freedom Wake Park, Northwest Riders and Ronix Wakeboards.
 
WW: Plans for 2017?
MT: I will continue representing my sponsors, try to use the time wisely and do my best on everything I do.
 
WW: What three things would you bring if you were stranded on an island?
MT: I would bring a lighter, so I can make fire easily. For the second thing, I would bring contacts, so I can see. I am really blind if contacts aren't on my eyeballs, so they are very essential to me. For the last thing, I would choose knives to bring just because I think it's very useful for anything.
