Carroll and Kidd

Share

Tony CarrollTony Carroll has been a well-known name in the pro wake business for years, bringing a cool attitude and effortless hammers. He lives on Clear Lake in Orlando, Florida and whenever he's not traveling the world for a contest or boat show, he's usually found shredding in the hood. I've been filming with Danny Thollander lately and Tony was helping us out with a pull, but after that he took this set.

Luca Kidd is an up and coming shredder from the UK. You may have seen him before, but if you haven't you're in for a ride! He's been spending more and more time stateside and we couldn't be happier to have him. He's also easy to get along with and always fun to film. Luca is definitely going to be one to watch in the coming years. Check out his set!

Tony CarrollWW: Favorite moment from the past season?
TC: The bus ride back to the hotel at the Malibu Biwa Pro. Most fun I've had in a while.
LK: The whole season was dope, but Rock The Wake was a fun weekend.

WW: Most memorable results from the past year and why?
TC: Getting fifth at nationals. I was super sick all weekend and it was miserable, but wound up riding pretty good.
LK: Probably taking my first junior pro win as it was my first time standing on the top of the podium.

WW: Plans for the off season?
TC: Oh man! The new axis A24 wake is massive. I'm looking forward to pushing my riding and having a normal off season after having ACL surgery last winter.
LK: Get really, really good at wakeboarding.

WW: Plans for the next season?
Luca KiddTC: Do as many local and grass roots events as I did this year. The stoke for wakeboarding is so great at these events all over the country. I can't even explain it. Those events are where I have the most fun.
LK: Compete in all the junior pro comps and make a banger edit Tyler Higham style.

WW: Craziest moment of the year?
TC: Dean announcing his retirement. Super heavy for me. He was always one of those guys that had positive words for me throughout my career. Sometimes it's what kept me going. And his riding speaks for itself. He will be missed on the contest scene. That's for sure.

WW: Special thanks to anyone?
TC: Tommy's, Axis, Fuse Lenses, Ronix, CTI, Lead Wake, my girlfriend, Gina, for constantly dealing with all the guys around 24/7. Carl Erickson for making the most stressful part of my career a breeze. If you need an MRI in Florida, he's the man. Steve Balogh of Ability Rehabilitation. He's a wizard when it come to rehab. Mom & Dad.
LK: Wanna thank Liquid Force, Nautique Boats, LDB Wake School, Bro Clothing, M North Inc. and my mum and dad.
