In collaboration with Surf the Wake and Awakesurf, Freeride Productions plans to host its first Wakesurf Jam, a Nor Cal grassroots competition, on June 26th, 2004 at Calero Lake in San Jose, California. Calabria will supply the boats, WakeWorld, Inland Surfer, LX Eyewear, Boarders Paradise, Pimp Daddy Productions, Ridin High, Liquid Trends and many others will supply the prizes and equipment. Of course, the organizers will make sure that there are enough raffles, demo boats, gear, trophies, sponsor booths, food and beverages to keep you entertained throughout the day.

Admission and parking are free and the event is open to boys, girls, men and women of all ages. The entry fee for contestants is $40, which covers insurance fees, meals and a contest t-shirt. The divisions will be broken down into the following four categories: men's beginner, men's intermediate/advanced, women's beginner and women's intermediate/advanced. All riders who plan to enter the contest must supply their own gear.

And, as if all of this entertainment isn't enough, we will also provide a clinic for any beginners who want to learn how to wakesurf. This option is available on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to arrive early. Clinic fees and details will be available at the event. The competition begins at 9am and awards and prizes will be given on site at the end of the day.
