Well I already have a great boat board (2013 ronix one) but I guess if I'm buying a board for cable I would want to be able to take it behind the boat too. The reason I don't want a cable specific board is because I love that nice mellow surfy feel a board like the One gives me. The William and Phoenix were at the top of my list because they have more rocker than cable boards but are not slow in the water. Not sure about the speed on the Phoenix but How slow could it be if so many people love it? So, essentially I'm looking for a durable, flexy board I can take to the cables whenever, but if I feel like mixing things up when I'm out on the boat ill be able to take it out there too without having to ride a board that is more geared towards cable. Behind the boat I like a variable rail, a nice and surfy mellow board that slices through the water aggressively when I need it to, solid pop, usually a 3 stage, and soft landings. For cable I love all of the same features but with an edge that I can really dig into the water heading for a kicker, not necessarily a 3 stage,of course flex, and durability goes without saying. Ill probably end up with a Phoenix or a bill since the bill is a little flexier than the William.
