I just picked up my first wakeskate (Hyperlite Vinyl 108) and am wondering about boat speed and rope length. I saw some young guys wakeskating yesterday and it looked like a VERY short rope- maybe 40 or 50' tops. Is this normal? What about boat speed?

Boat is an 05 Super Air.

for your boat i recommend a 75'-80' line and 22ish mph
very narrow wake

When I used to skate behind my buddies Super Air I was 70' 21 MPH. The wake on the Super Air at 70' is narrower than My Moomba at 60', as Mitch said they have a narrow wake which allows you to run at a longer line length.
