I emailed and this was the response.
Hello,

Thank you for your interest in my boat. As you may already know, bidding is restricted because I want to chose my buyer carefully. The boat is in perfect condition, never abused and has a clear title. Sale price is US $8, 000.00 including shipping costs anywhere in the USA. The boat is currently located in Orlando, FL where I work and it will be shipped from here. There are no other costs regarding this transaction. In order to be able to buy it please let me know if you have any negative feedback and, if this is the case, for what reason. I apologize for asking such information but I need to be safe. Please also provide me the following details necessary to take a decision:
-your Full Name and address;
-your eBay User ID for verification;
The transaction will close only through the eBay Motors Vehicle Purchase Protection program in order to seal a secure binding contract upon purchasing. If I receive the requested information you will be informed by eBay during the next 12 hours.

Kind Regards,
David

What's wrong with it that you have a buy it now price of $8,000?

Whatcha do is ask for more pictures. Especially one of the HID. It'll stop him real fast if it's a scam.

wow only 8 grand for a vlx, dude i must have been ripped off. that does not look good for my re-sale, i will be taking nearly a 60 grand loss.

the day you bring home a any v drive wake series boat for 8g i will assume pigs are flying. that's a 50g+ boat bro. total f-ing scam. dont ever by a boat without 1. seeing it, 2. test driving it, and 3 seeing all the proper dvm and bank paper work.

sorry if i was a smart ass, just dont want anyone to get suckerd in if they arnt sure.

so with that id # how can you prove if its clean. if i cant physically go sit in the boat as the owner walks though it with me. its a f---ing scam. i sold my sanger out of state. the new owner was on a plane the next day after he saw the ad here on w.w. he demo the boat had all the corrct bank paper work ready and we had the money in limbo between his and my bank so when he took delivery, in person of the boat, he made the call to his bank and released the funds to mine. buying a boat is a very personal thing. your boat should be your baby. and i have rejected buyers from one of older boats because i didnt feel they would care for it. all im saying is be careful with the scammers today and make buying a 50k+ boat as safe and fun as possible.

MB2K60730606

is not a vaild hull i.d.

MB2K6073"0"606.....the zero or "O" is supposed to be a letter which signifies which month in that year it was built. There is no "O" month being that "K" would be December....

He does have the correct amout of digits, and the only thing wrong with the VIN is what I pointed out though. It even signifies an 06 VLX that was built in 06...we just cant tell which month from that VIN.

this guy is a moron.

A,B,C,D,E or F would have to be in place of the "O" before the "606" for it to be a valid number btw.

I always love when someone wants to "chose my buyer carefully". Just so the boat will get a loving home.

Yes, but did he send you a "picture" of the HID? I doubt it. Do like the other guy said, tell em you have someone local that wants to take a look at it before you buy.

I just searched Craigslist and found the same listing in Greensboro. Here's the link:

http://greensboro.craigslist.org/boa/398488542.html

The difference is that this ad actually has a realistic price $52K. I hate scammers.
