HAS ANYONE EVER FILLED AN AIR MATRESS WITH WATER FOR BALLAST?

LOL....that's kinda funny.

"Back in the day", the pioneers of wakeboarding used waterbed mattresses filled with water for ballast. Anyone else remember this???

I used a twin waterbed mattress in my ski locker up until this season. 4 seasons of use, no problems. Air mattresses are much thinner material, and won't last nearly as long. I'd be surprised if it made it thru the long wknd. See if there are still any waterbed stores in business in your area, and go get some tubes or a twin mattress. It would probably be about the same cost as the air mattress.

Also, your wake will be a lot bigger and cleaner if you turn off the caps lock.

Brandon I don't think an air mattress would be a good idea the seems might not be strong enough. Get a water bed mattress.
