There was a thread about a week ago where someone was trying to find the best deal on these and someone on the board had a bunch for sale without the hose/fittings. I can't find the thread anymore. anyone know where it is? Am I in the right section.

Thanks

I just saw the tsunami pump on the pro x series website for $40 without the hoses. I thought that was a good price.

Here is the info from that thread. I picked up 2 of the pumps myself.

By Chris Anthony (cla17)

I have around 50 Tsunamis with the lighter plug already attached. You will have to get the tubing but I will sell them for $29 each which includes shipping as long as you don't live somewhere crazy...just e-mail me or hcallow66@yahoo.com if you want some. Heather takes care of http://www.discountwake.com for me... Also take half off any of the other stuff in the store if you are a WW fan...

I got my pumps 2 days ago. After talking to heather and sending my payment, they were shipped the next day. Thanks Heather and Chris!

Dont do it. Buy a combo with the cord, fittings, and hose. The combo's are always cheaper than doing it piece by piece. AND, you dont have to drive around town or order stuff off the internet and pay shipping.

Shut it Justin. I bought a pair also. They shipped them immediately. It may work out the same but of course I already had all the extra pump pieces. ;)

Gene, but you always run the risk of buying something that's not quite "as advertised", right?

I hope your pump arrived jammed with epoxy.

LOL Thanks man. That is true. Who knows it might have some in there. I have not actually used them yet.

I wonder if he will pay shipping back?

LMAO!! For sale, Tsunami pump. Syrup not included.

Gene, are you upgrading your ballast pumps?

Dude, it is gonna take forever to fill your ballast bags with epoxy! Even with the flow rate of the tsunamis it will take a long time. You really need to look into like a race car fuel pump that flows 5000GPH.

Does epoxy weigh more than water? ROFL

So buying the pump for $29 shipped and spending the $10 on hose and a couple fittings and a 5 min drive to Ace hardware... way cheaper then buying the combo all set up for $99 plus shipping.

I got 2 of them and both are working great!!!!

Hey, where did you guys find the fittings for the pumps? I got one too, but the Lowes people looked at me like I was crazy when I tried to find the fitting to attach the hose to. Thanks!

While $29 is a great price...Bass Pro Shops has had these prices for nearly a year.

Chris was offering the 1200gph pump shipped for $29. Bass Pro sells the 1200gph for $36.99 before tax and shipping.

and the bass pro one doesn't have the lighter plug attached so you would have to be a lighter plug and 12+ feet of cord

I know where you can get one for free...It's in about 30-40 feet of water in Banks Lake in Eastern Washington. After filling an extra bag for surfing dropped it in the drink. Lame...

i got a pump too. but i still need a fitting to attach the 1" hose to the pump, like a 1" barb with female threading. everything at ace and home depot is just slightly smaller. The only one i saw on wakeside was a 3/4" barb??? gotta return it. what part fits to a 1" hose? In all the pictures of the pump i see a white elbow fitting.

Robert - I ran into the same problem. I think you have to order the part from wakeside. That's what I'm gonna do next week.

If I am wrong, someone please correct me before I waste more time!

I also ordered a pump from Chris and haven't found a fitting yet. According to Attwood's website, it is a 1 1/8" threaded end. Anyone know a store that sells a fitting for that size?
Old     (svtjay)      Join Date: Jul 2007       08-30-2007, 10:00 PM Reply
the fittings need to be 1 1/8" thread.

I got several of of the correct size fittings from www.westmarine.com and the rest from www.wakeside.com
