I think I asked these questions already but I cant seem to find my previous posts like on other forums . Im sorry if I'm repeating my posts.

Im getting ready to change the impeller, oil and filter . I was wondering if you guys knew the Napa or Wix oil filter number and if any of you with higher hours are switching to a thicker oil or sticking with the OEM specs ? I recall Kendall oil being highly recommended at 1 time does this still hold true ?

I buy OEM Mercruiser Quicksilver parts, stocked in-store, at WalMart. In the auto parts area they have the recommended 25W40 oil, recommended Quicksliver OEM oil filter & fuel filter/water separator. I order impeller on line. My V210 has 1050 hours on it and I have no reason not to stick with the OEM recommended oil.

I never even thought to try Walmart . Thanks for the info . I wasn't sure about the oil but I know these rollor motors want a lot of zinc to keep them lubed up good . Do you happen to have a filter part number ?

Don't have the part numbers handy. Google. Also check the numbers on the filter you're removing. That said, there's only one inboard 4-stroke Quicksilver oil filter in stock at WalMart and it's the right one. There's only one fuel filter there too. Recommended Quicksilver 25W40 oil as well.

I wish someone would figure out how to catalog and identify Merc parts, cause it's a PITA search for the right parts every time
