Has anyone used one of these portable infrared devices? How well did it work on and off the water.

If the iphone version works it is the cheapest option available. I wanted to us it not only on the boat but also for spotting game.

The I phone version works very well. Check out the side by side comparison videos of the IOS or Android VS the hand held versions.

The IOS version works so well Pitsburg police use It to spot game.

Nacho: I'm not sure what he intends to do with it. But with the Thermal it has different modes so you it will show different things.

Example it could be used to spot things in the dead of night. Or used to spot heat escaping from around your windows in your home. Like I said above police use it to find people in thick bush who are hiding. I guess it just depends on what you wanna use it for.
