Light Bar Install Please Help

So I received a 24 inch Light bar along with this wiring kit.

I was looking to install this on my 2011 Tomcat and was looking for your advice on how to best install it. IIf I can get any guidance on where to mount and how to wire it best I would really appreciate it.

I dont have any advice on mounting but please let us know how well it works...i'm also in the market for one and wondering if a 24" is enough light for driving at night

Not specific to the boat, but I have a 42" mounted on my tower. It is very bright yes, but not nearly as bright as I thought it would be. You lose a lot of light to glare. I'm not sure I would go smaller than that, however, sometimes on water less is more with light so maybe you're on the right track

Can I ask how you wired it through the tower? I am not the best at electrical and thats my major issue here.

When wiring through the tower you may not be able to make the corners because of welds so you may have to drill holes close to weld to make the turn. For fishing the tower you can use actual metal fish tape or you can try a vacuum with a piece of light string or dental floss. Pull the floss through first, then your heavier string, then tape off to the wires. At the base of the tower you may have to install a thru hull style plug to get inside the gunnel. Eg: http://redspade-audio.blogspot.ca/20...ker-cable.html. Any kind of grommets for holes or wire loom to cover the exposed wire will only make the install look more professional.

Does anyone have any experience with using a led light bar for driving duties on the lake? I've been stuck out on the lake after dark and wanted to add one for this reason

I have a 30" rigid on my tower and it lights up the lake as if it was daytime. Glare isn't terrible with my setup, but if it bothers you, you can always pop up your Bimini to block it. You can also pick up mounts from amazon for cheaper.

Which mounts are you guys going with?
