I know I mentioned this in one of the other posts, but curious if any of you are using Android streaming boxes or a Tiger box? I have been looking to add one recently. I would love to cut the cord, but realistically I would like to see movies/ufc etc.. when I want. I have been reading that I can Jailbreak my AppleTV as well and install Kodi, but at $99 for the droid box it makes sense to give it a shot.

It looks looks like it essentially taps into a library similar to torrent sites that you can select and play. As long as you have strong internet there should be no buffering issues.

I am curious about the legality, but since you are not hosting and you can not download or copy, I am guessing that leaves the user in the clear. it still falls on the person hosting the files.

Just curious what you guys are doing out there.

Hey John - Got my new box and playing last night. It has Kodi and Exodus on it. WOW tough to figure out how it all works but learning. There had to be a good source for add-ons and figuring out the best place to get movies/tv/sports. Seems like thousands of channels that all do the same, but there has to be like 3-4 ones that do most things. Got any tips?

My main tip is Exodus. Primewire (One Channel) is another. SALTS (Stream ALl The Sources) is another. I use Exodus 100% of the time right now. I don't do sports and Exodus right now is my go to for movies and tv shows. You can right click on a TV show and add it to favorites, then access it from the button on the lower left. Saves always having to search.

Thanx John - One other thing - Its seems like everything I have tried to watch is pretty low resolution. I am hooked to a 4K tv with HDMI and the box is capable of 4K, but it seem like is is very low resolution. Is that normal or and I do I have a setting off? I am not expecting amazing quality or anything, but what I am seeing is very low quality - almost standard def.

That isn't unusual. A lot of stuff is std def. The source will have an HD next to it when it's high def. Not really sure if many streams are 4K. Thinking not. Also, when you select a source if may fail and go to the next on down the line. So you select the HD labeled source at the top but it eventually finds a stream down the list that's std def (or even lower).

I just googled kodi 4k sources and found some info that looks like there are 4k streams out there.
