In my experience weight up front weakens wave. Try it though. Even try filling up front stock ballast less

I actually agree that the front ballast weakens the wave. The boat loves the weight in the back surfside. 300lbs seems like enough in the bow without using the front 500.

Yep. Or just fill up 500 half way. Pretty sure my 05 had a 250 intstead of the 500. That’s all I used
