I am a wakeboarder from Canada and am currently doing a business startup competition. We are developing a web/mobile social media platform that connects athletes with recruiters/coaches/sponsors to improve the efficiency of the scouting process and get talent noticed.

As a wakeboarder, is this a service you would use? It is a free service until you want to pay for a higher membership level, which exposes more services to you like:
- More video uploads
- Endorsement from network
- and much more.

It is for all sports but I'm wondering if it would add value to you as a competitive wakeboarder to gain sponsors and expand your career.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Thank you!

Please go to the website and subscribe for more information. Include where you're from and what sports you play/

Again, thanks so much.

Wakeboarding is too niche. If your good at wakeboarding, it is easy to get discovered. I'm sure the numbers reflect that in your market research.

I am going to be the downer here and tell you that these sites already exist.. However, as a matter of fact, the majority of recruiting online is done via Facebook and Twitter since the NCAA has very loose regulations on private messaging through social media. NCAA is where the big money will be, and I don't see a solution to a problem here. (I am not aware of Canada's collegiate athletic association at the moment, but I'm sure it is similar to the NCAA)

Good Luck with your business.
